Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty withing the South Downs National Park near Haslemere in west Sussex, this proposed extension to an existing nursing home would cater for thirty additional residents. The design approach is led by the landscape, topography and constraints of the site. It seeks to apply the principles of Atul Gawande, as well providing as a degree of security for the Elderly Mentally Infirm (EMI) residents.
