Client testimonial:
“MRA designed and supervised all aspects of a recent remodelling of the top floor of our Ladbroke Grove house, and the complete rebuilding of our downstairs flat. This was a project complicated by the fact that all the planning and the majority of the construction and furnishing was done while we were living in San Francisco and therefore remote. It was only because of the complete trust that we had in Martha and her incredible professionalism and talent that this did not become hugely stressful or fraught. Indeed it was actually a joy!
For our bedroom and bathroom upstairs Martha created a stunning new plan, that opened up the space and flooded it with light. She brought to the project vision, exquisite attention to detail, and a collaborative and pragmatic approach. She understood what we were seeking to achieve and brought it to life through great design, and selection of finishes, fabrics etc. Most wonderful was her recommendation for our cupboard doors, which are covered in antique decorated mirrors by Paul Clifford Design and Decoration. Its a beautiful practical space now that feels entirely different from what was there before. There is a new sense of space, incredible light throughout, and somehow still ample storage.
The basement flat had to be completely gutted in order to be tanked to address the ongoing issues we had with damp. This gave us the opportunity to remodel the generous space that had previously been very poorly used. Martha created a one bedroom flat with a sense of light and space that was completely lacking before. It had felt like a dark basement with an extremely old fashioned bathroom that came off the small kitchen. Now the kitchen has enough light for it to be somewhere you actively choose to sit in, there is a new ensuite bathroom, extensive discrete storage, under floor heating and a wood burning stove in the sitting room. It is a triumph and now a space that is no longer compromised by being a basement but is truly rewarding in its on right.
I would not hesitate to recommend Martha.”
