A refurbishment and 4.5 sq.m (48 sq. ft.) side return extension of an Edwardian terraced house in north London, including a new kitchen and the conversion of a cellar into a utility room.
The design sought to maximize light into a new dining area, and match the modernist tastes of the clients, with a steel framed door and roof.
Client testimonial: “Martha designed and oversaw various construction works on three floors of our house in Muswell Hill. The kitchen was extended with a bespoke construction made out of steel and glass, the basement was dug out to create additional storage and toilet and shower room and the first floor was rearranged to create a new bedroom.
The work was carried out with incredible care and to the best possible specifications. The new spaces that she created have massively increased our appreciation of the house that we live in: the kitchen is bright and spacious and the centre of the busy household, the basement has provided all the storage solutions we needed whilst also giving us an entirely new room and the first floor is now much better suited to our needs.
Martha and her team were incredibly flexible throughout the process (as we kept changing our minds!) and delivered work of the highest possible standard. We are delighted with the results and would be happy to recommend her.”
